Cool pace car....

This was the pace car for the "Legends" race at Bristol sppedway Saturday. Awesome car.:burnout:
95 Ranger Splash 2.3
88 Tbird Sport :ies::ies:
5.0 SO, stainless shorty headers, w/ Magnaflow lers. KYB struts, KYB shocks. 5lug conversion from sn95 Mustang, subframe connectors, drilled and slotted rotors, 03 Mach 1 wheels. sequential taillights.140 speedo

1996-97 Cobra wheel straight but weathered (For Sale)
84 TC manual shifter handle no  (For Sale)

BTW, I had a 1988 T-Bird Sport way back when. I found out that it was totalled shortly after trading it in. It still has the ignition switch recall to date.

'61 Sunliner, the '62 lost the tail fins...

Cool car, wonder what was under the hood??? The Big Dog for '61 was the solid lifter, 390 375Hp... A 401Hp 3x2bbl setup was also available, but the intake, carbs and air cleaner was shipped in the trunk... Was dealer installed prior to delivery to customer...

Thanx for the correction. I was not sure of the year. I am used to the '63-'64 style.

Sweet Galaxie.  I've driven my 'stang around Bristol track at Power Tour.  Nice place.
'88 'bird, 10.9:1 306 w/TFS top end, forged rods/pistons, T-5 swap & bunch of other stuff, 1-family owned, had it since ‘98, 5.0tbrd88 on Instagram and YouTube

was an awesome legends race tooo. sad about larry pearson. but ol harry gant was kickin ass til the engine let go.
god i wish them guys were still racin.

Oh yea, was a great race, wouldn't it be cool if they would build some "classic" cup cars for these guys to drive. Loved the retro paint schemes they used.:bowdown:

In '62 it was a 406 FE with 3x2bbl carbs as the top engine correct?
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.
