Aod swap Reply #33 – March 25, 2010, 01:12:07 PM How many miles is on the 3.8L AOD? I have a 100K mile 3.8L AOD behind my slightly built 5.0 HO. It has a Transgo and I don't use OD, except for the highway. It's still alive, but I don't beat on it to often. The AODs are not as weak as people say, especially if you put a shift kit in them, and no WOTs into OD. Quote Selected
Aod swap Reply #34 – March 25, 2010, 02:10:02 PM Sorry, I forgot to update.I found 1990 SC Cougar AOD, and possibly the entire car minus motor and front seats. Anyone need parts? I could possibly get the entire thing, and part it if there's a need for parts here.As for the 3.8 AOD.. I got 110k on it, and my motor build will more then likely smoke it within a month.
