Back in an '80 XR-7 January 10, 2010, 10:16:32 AM Yep, I couldn't be without one evidently. So I took a trip to Iowa yesterday to retrieve this one. It's not a Recaro car like the old one, but that's an easy remedy. The body is in better shape than the old car and with a little tune-up work, this one can be used as a driver until I get into the mods. It's a 255/C3(?) car I guess. Quote Selected

Back in an '80 XR-7 Reply #9 – January 10, 2010, 02:38:00 PM I'll have the car @ my place in a couple days. It's at a buddy's for the moment. I had a couple things to take care of at the house before I bring it here. More pics and details when I get it here.On oddity. It has power seats and power door lock...and manual windows. *facepalm* The only thing I'd want power I don't have. Quote Selected

Back in an '80 XR-7 Reply #11 – January 10, 2010, 08:35:49 PM So Chuck, what are your plans for this one? I would imagine the idea of a powerplant with less than 8 cylinders and a nice lil turbo has crossed your mind. That's how you roll methinks If it turns out half as nice as your TC did, it will be awesome. Quote Selected
Back in an '80 XR-7 Reply #12 – January 10, 2010, 11:30:49 PM The planned drivetrain for this car is an SHO V6 and a T5. That is pretty much the first thing I'm going to plan on working on aside from small stuff.I want to finish up the last of the details on my adapter and get the thing dropped in place. Once the swap it done then I will get onto the rest of the build. Quote Selected
