dial indicator and Micrometer

looking for a good dial indicator .0001 on up as well as a minimum of a 3'' Micrometer as well .0001 on up.

seeing if anyone here can come up with these before i go online to get them elsewhere.


dial indicator budget 50 bux (prefer mecanical, not electronic)
micrometer budget 75 bux (prefer mecanical, not elecronic)

I was looking through the weekly Harbour Freight ad, And they just got in some Dial Indicators w/ Base for 20.00 in .0001+.
Like this one:


Probably not too great of quality, But you can buy the Base separately for 10.00.
And it surprised me they had them in general.

I have that one now,,
you have to guesstimate the ten thousanths place.

I went ahead and bought it also. (Had Coupons :hick:)

Havent tested it yet, But just checking it out in the store it didnt seem so bad. (expected far cheaper)

The base is pretty good overall though.

If you buy that cheap your gauges won't hold zero very well. Just an FYI.
