It wasn't hard.I had to replace the factory hardware.I also had to remove a very small amount of metal from a couple of places on the lip where the factory gas lid would seat,and drill a couple of holes.Again,not hard.Once you get into the job,it's self explanatory.If you shop around,there are different styles of gas lids that fit the car pretty well made for the Stang.I wish it locked,but I have a locking gas cap these days.They make one that actually is electric,and when you push the gas lid button,it pops out,then actually turns forward out of the way on it's own.Really cool,but costly.
