You did good, sounds like the car is real solid.  You might see airbag leaks after a few weeks of ownership, but getting reman bags is cheap and easy enough.

Hope to see you on the Mark VII boards at Fordvschevy and Lincolnsonline sometime. :)

Body and engine appear to be solid, but there's a lot of little stuff that needs doing. Will eventually need exhaust, the right side tailpipe has some holes past the rear wheel. Needs a rearview mirror with the sensor for the dimmer. Needs a starter solenoid, and maybe another battery. Needs that air suspension relay. (he said he used to be able to jiggle the harness at the relay to get it to work, but now it's completely dead) Probably needs a few replaced fuses and some of that re-grounding stuff in your tech section. Needs a cover for the back seat. Windows are off-track. (deja vu, my '88 needs new clips) But hey, it's still a functioning LSC. :p

Are those Premium Sound compatible?  I got pioneers in my car, but I kept the stock EQ and I'm lookin for a CD player and if I can find a factory one I'd go with that for looks more than anything else if possible.

It says Premium Sound on the speaker grilles on this thing. Not sure if it's the same setup as the Bird/Cougar, tho.

Does it have the separate Equalizer above the radio?

No, that's where the big-ass Lincoln version of the tripminder is. The one where the row of buttons is as wide as the entire console.

Hey, if nothing else you could see how cheaply you could pick them up, then turn around and auction 'em off.

If this one turns out to be busted, I might have to do something similar.

Question: Would the lower half of the back seat of my '88 T-bird swap for the lower half of the back seat of the LSC? The LSC's lower part of the seat is destroyed. On the T-bird, the upper part is starting to go bad, but the lower part just has a few cracks in it. I believe they're even the same color, or close. (and both are leather)

They will, but it might be 1" narrower.  Tell us what happens.

Oh man, how freaking nasty.

Someone stuck a car battery on the back seat.. sitting at an angle.. and some of the acid leaked out onto a T-shirt and a few other random pieces of junk back there. The acid disintegrated the t-shirt, melted the leather to a couple pieces, etc.

That has to be the single worst thing wrong with this car.. but I just got it out of there (with gloves on, of course) and I'm gonna snag my shop vac and a spare surgical mask and vacuum it out soon.

EDIT: Here's a pic..

We pulled the back seat a few minutes ago. Looks like no acid got past the seat.
