Very nice, Vinnie. Keep up the good work. BTW, nice addition of the Hurst pistol grip handle.

BTW, I had a 1988 T-Bird Sport way back when. I found out that it was totalled shortly after trading it in. It still has the ignition switch recall to date.

how full was your gas tank? On my car, I lose almost 3 inches in the rear with a full tank, but I'm sure my springs are worn out pretty good. It looks like it really didn't drop too much in the rear, and the front seems more or less perfect for looks at least. Hows the spring rate? is it more bouncy, or less? New springs or used?

They were used springs.The car actually doesn't feel much different at all in the ride quality,but when you take a corner,you can tell a difference.A lot less "lean".The rear sits as it does because the Sport has air shocks right now and I keep the rear up a little so when I load the trunk,it doesn't squat.If I let more air out of the lines,it'll sit another inch lower in the rear.Eventually I'll buy the Mustang shocks I want and install my ChuckW shock mounts.That'll make a difference.Until then,it stays at it is.I can't go lower in the front.I'm really pushing the limits with the Mach 1 spoiler.Any lower and I'll be dragging on everything.

Roy,I'm using the pistol grip because it' comfortable,and I also have a Hurst billet shifter underneath it.

If you want to keep air shocks, but end up with more of a "performance" shock, use the Chuck's adapters and run Monroe MA777 shocks. The 777s are made for a Ford van, and thus are valved quite stiffly when used in a car, but have about the same compressed and extended lengths as Mustang shocks. I used to run these in my ASC/McLaren and they worked quite nicely.

vin, i just thought about something. it seems like my car sits at the same height as yours does with the mustang springs, could you measure from the ground to the fender lip front and rear? what size are your tires?

I'll measure when I get home this evening and post the front and rear.My tires and wheels are as follows....

Rear---17x10's with 275 40 17 tires

Front---17x9's with 255 40 17 tires...no spacers,no rub.

In the first pic, your car sits noticeably higher than in the 2nd pic.  I notice you have different wheels and a different header panel too.

my car has 84 mustang gt springs in the front, and i could tell no difference in the ride height or quality with them installed....everything i have read says 79-93 springs give bad ride quality
