Interesting MN12 and Fox pics October 21, 2009, 11:30:23 AM A friend of mine is into MN12s and emailed these to me, and I thought they were pretty cool. I figured it would be a good idea to share them with my good friends on here. The first ones are a few underside shots of the Cougar XR7 AWD mule that had been planned and ended up being sped.Next is a test mule for the Supercoupe 3.8. Apparently the car was used by the Dearborn Police Dept. but this is pretty dang cool. Quote Selected

Interesting MN12 and Fox pics Reply #3 – October 21, 2009, 01:12:20 PM I didn't know there was an AWD Cougar. The SC is green, right? That means there are at least two MN12 AWD cars. Any chance you can get side shots of the Cougar, including the wheels? Quote Selected
Interesting MN12 and Fox pics Reply #4 – October 21, 2009, 01:18:47 PM No all the ones I got are shown here but I can ask my buddy if he has anymore.Edit: In doing a little looking around I found out that the wheels that went on the AWD Thunderbirds and Cougar where actually what ended up being Taurus SHO slicers. Interesting MN12 and Fox pics Reply #6 – October 21, 2009, 02:25:13 PM Yeah, the Chinese (I think) set that worked only on the left side for two wheels and the right side for the other two. I am pretty sure I have a set on mine sitting in a field. Quote Selected

Also would have been more expensive to build/maintain thus increasing the actual pricing of the car probably to close/higher than the mustang. Quote Selected

Unless I am incorrect, several of the cars in Europe were available as AWD.Quote from: Ductape91;296201id really like to find out more about that fox tbird with the SC motor, it looks sooo factory makes you wonder why didnt they do that. probly wouldve sold a ton of them but likely wouldve ded in on the mustang sales a bit.According to the book I have, the SC was planned fairly early for the MN12 platform. They did the installation in the Police cars because they thought it would be a great place to test the drive-train's reliability.I'm guessing they missed something though as even the non-supercharged 3.8s had trouble with blown head gaskets!Shiny Side Up!Bill Quote Selected
