88 Cougar 5.0 brakes VS. Mustang 5.0 brakes

Real easy like..

Are the front brakes/spindles/hoses on a 88 Cougar LS 5.0 the same used on a Mustang 5.0 of the same vintage?

Thanks

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Fixed it ;)

And to add/amend: there's an adapter fitting you'll need to mate the new 5.0 rubber hoses to the car's stock steel hard lines, but ed if I can recall the size.

Also, you'll have to either get new struts, or shims if you are going to use the ones you have, since there's a difference in spindles.

If you can afford a larger master cylinder at this time you can also switch over to Lincoln/SVO 73mm front calipers. They make a big improvement, cost almost nothing at the parts store, and bolt right up.
