Will a fox mustang gas tank fit a 88 cougar

it's a lot smaller, but i have also been wondering about this.
Currently Birdless but never Foxless

Ted is right, Its higher on one side than the other and to be honest I don't think it'd fit. Not to mention the fuel pump bracket is longer than ours is (IIRC).

I think a Mark VII tank will swap over though.....If you can't find one from another Bird or Cougar.

My tank has the high right side where the filler neck goes in. Are you talking about another raised spot??

Vinnie, do you know what the capacity is on the MK VII tanks??

NO NO NO on the Stang tank, the MK VII is the same at least to '89 or so, probably later... I swapped one onto a '87 TC, except for the sending unit(used orig) tank was exactly the same...

Too bad your in NY I have a -near brand new gas tank from my old 87 I would give ya.
