Fixed...and then some...

i fixed the problem with my TC, we used a section of rubber hose for the tank when changing the pump, turned out, it wasnt high pressure, so it balloned and blew out

while the car was down and out, thinking i couldnt fix it myself, i bought some vacume line, reran some line for my boost gauges (factory and aftermarket) so they both worked, plumbed in my boost controller, fixed a few bulbs in the gauge cluster, modded a shift  out of a mazda to fit, and a bunch of other odds and ends

well, i didnt do any adjusting of the boost controller, and i took it out, it pulled a solid 18-19psi, which is what i wanted, and it screamed! it was great, came up on traffic really fast

so i came home, cleaned up the tools, took a shower, went out to jillians, i lay into it, and it spiked 22psi....WHOOOOOO, that was nasty! the car pulled like no other, and i laid into it again, and the same thing, so i need to back the boost down to probably 20, and leave it right there, since my normal driving doesnt see full boost much
It's Gumby's fault.

Dude back that thing down to 18psi,anything above that and your just blowing super heated air into the eng.
I'm asuming you have the stock IHI turbo.
Also at 20psi you might be needing a head gasket sooner than you think.
I guess the fuel pump fixed your problems?

20psi isnt too bad on the headgaskets, its just slightly out of the effeciency range of the IHI, im going to probably set it at 18-19, but if it creeps to 20, or anything like that, im not too concerned with it, only if it goes above 20
It's Gumby's fault.

yeah, the pump cured the problem, and also created the problem off more pressure than the hose enjoyed

He answered you in the last thread and you're still hounding him.
