Well i think i found a local tranny :) lol that has me interested though, how much did you want for it? The one im looking at im not even sure what it came out of but itll fit and its only $250.... is that a pretty good deal? I dont know exactly what the going prices are but i know how much the brand new ones are and i dont think i can afford that.... lol.

If you wanna come up and help me pull it out, you're welcome to it.
;)

Or pay shipping to send it your way...I don't want anything for the tranny itself, just knowing that it'll help get another Fox Bird/Cat on the road is pay enough! ;)

No prob man...it'd be an easy pull too, there's no engine bolted to it, just a driveshaft, linkage, and mount lol

i've pulled one out through the engine bay, didnt even need to jack it up....

reached under the sides and unbolted the crossmember, reached in from the froint and undid the linkage, then pulled it forward....once it was sitting on top of the k-member i picked it up and sat it down over the front of the car onto the ground.....

just saying that if for some reason tool selection is limited it's actually an almost tool-free job if it needs to be.
Currently Birdless but never Foxless

cant you just swap the t-bird tailhousing onto the longer transmissions and cut the excess shaft off? i read somewhere that you could, i am in no way trying to mislead anyone if this info is incorrect

That sounds like a disaster .... I believe the correct way is to dis assemble the tranny and swap out the output shaft.
