Need H-Pipe Hanger April 12, 2005, 11:04:51 AM I'm looking for the exhaust hanger that mounts between the transmission and transmission mount on an AOD Mustang. I need one to replace the single bushing hanger that's currently on my car. If anyone has one please let me know here or email me.For reference, here is a blurry pic. Sorry 'bout that. Saved it from an eBay auction: Quote Selected
Re: Need H-Pipe Hanger Reply #1 – April 12, 2005, 11:38:29 AM Well, the only one listed for our car years stated it was for a manual transmission, but check out 50resto.com. It may still actually work, someone else here may be able to confirm or deny this. The others are rather pricy .http://secure.50resto.com/product1.cfm?SID=1&Product_ID=92&Category_ID=788 Quote Selected

I've been checking eBay for weeks. Finally found one yesterday but I didn't get the chance to bid on it before the auction ended. Quote Selected
Re: Need H-Pipe Hanger Reply #3 – April 12, 2005, 11:47:06 AM IMHO I can't see why the one listed for the 79-93 manual models wouldn't work. It seems like no matter the type of transmission, that the layout of the car would mean it mounts up the same regardless. So for 38 bucks and shipping for a new hanger i'd say that a good deal. Just need the elders to pipe-up on this one! Quote Selected
Re: Need H-Pipe Hanger Reply #4 – April 12, 2005, 11:53:17 AM Yeah I had thought the same thing, but wanted to be on the safe side. It seems to me that the H-pipe hangs in the same place regardless of the transmission so the shape of the hanger should not matter. If anyone can confirm this please let me know. Quote Selected

Re: Need H-Pipe Hanger Reply #8 – April 12, 2005, 12:28:06 PM Did you find it on their site? The closest thing I can find is part number LRS-5246 which is a tailpipe hanger. I can't find any of the auto transmission h-pipe hangers.Quotei reused my aod one and it works perfectly. That's the one I have under there now and the driver's side of the system hangs slightly lower than the passenger side because of it. Re: Need H-Pipe Hanger Reply #11 – April 12, 2005, 12:52:29 PM Okay for a minute let's assume I just want someone to tell me whether or not the manual transmission one will work, rather than hinting around with smilies that the parts are interchangeable.cougarman, you are saying that LRS-5246B will work to hang an H-pipe from the bottom of an AOD transmission?
