Decided to get rid of my car when I leave for college. April 11, 2005, 09:31:53 PM I have been thinking and I think it's best if i sell my car when i leave for college. The more I drive it the more I miss my thunderbird. My friend is gonna buy it from me so at least i know its in good hands. There is no way i can take my car to manhattan anyway so its better if it doesnt sit all year round. Hopefully in a couple years when I save up enough I can get another 85-86 turbo coupe, or an 87-88 turbo coupe, no way am I buying a car from up here though. Too much rust on everything. Gonna pick something up from down south and drive or trailer it back. There is something about these cars that keeps bringing me back. :D Quote Selected

Re: Decided to get rid of my car when I leave for college. Reply #3 – April 15, 2005, 05:20:25 PM Exactly why I didn't move away for college. Couldn't stand the thought of not driving the cougar. Of course now it doesn't make the trip (75 miles/day) as well as it did when I started so I had to buy a new car. But I still go out and jump in the cougar and run around town and I'll take it to work on the weekends. I really like the Mark VII's. If I got ahold of one around here in the condition of yours, I surely wouldn't let it go. Most of the ones I see are in sad shape. Do what you feel you have to do and getting rid of the mark makes sense if your heart really lies with a turbo coupe. Happy turbo hunting. :D Quote Selected
