Fire!

well.. i got bored this morning.. and I had a home stereo reciever and 6 disk cd changer. My cougars sound system sucks.. Well i went and ran new speaker wires to my truck, had a 300 watt inverter powering the stereo reciever wich needed 400 watts.. i heard my inverter could power something up to 650 watts so i figured it wont be for long untill i get a new one. well, i had the inverter plugged into the lighter. i didnt have the wires to come from the battery. Well, my perfectly good working control thing in the middle, (the thing to controll the windows, mirrors, and seats) cought on fire...  :flame:

Smoked really bad untill i got the stuff unplugged and now my power mirrors are really messed up, they keep going up, and the down wont really work, i hope i can find a fix for this but i figured id tell you all how stupid i was lol.

any problems you think ill have after i get the power straight from the battery? and plug in the reciever + the 6 disk cd changer that is 120 watt?

Yea got bored, and figured it be a cheap way to fix up my audio... heh.. lol im gunna get a bigger invertor, and take the power from the battery i think.. that should work...

sadly, my dads making me get rid of it.. he sais i shouldnt even do it and should jsut get a new cd player for inside.. and an amp .. that makes me kinda sad cuz i spent all morning running those speaker wires from the front speaker ports, out to the trunk :(

you can still use those weather its for the rear deck speakers or the amp.

you were seriously going to put a home stereo and cd changer in the trunk of your car?
