I really hope not....I dont know if you remember waaay back I posted pics of a two tone brown granny-spoked 3.8 87 cougar. It was in the garage of my best friend's neighbor til he passed away....and then my friend referred the now widow to another buddy of his who bought it.

It now has almost 80k on it, had like 40, now seen two winters still looks great...but its running like  and he cant afford to TUNE IT UP. so hes gonna just "junk it or sell it or something". He naturally asked "would paul want it" and Im like yea if I had the money for another CAR and space toooo...

Just never woulda thought that would happen he seemed to like it seemed like hed hang onto it for awhile take good care of it. I guess its a reminder that for most people a car is a car. A tool and when it breaks, throw it out.

Is it just me, or does that thing look kinda rough for a 30K car?

Maybe it just sat outside for a very long time.  The gold looks worn from the rear Mercury emblem, pass taillight is missing the black center, driver seat looks worn, rear bumper trim is shedding, repaint, etc...

I like the car, just seems funny for a 30K mile car.

I agree, it does look rough for a 30K car. Mine has over 100K on the body and looks less worn than that car.

That 20th has has been there for a few years. I know exactly where it is and its definitely a 30k mile car. Its just been sitting in that same spot for all those years rain sun snow.
