as the container reads,, as the commercial shows, everything about this product rules.  wipe on,,, wipe off , that easy.
works great in the sun as well although i dont do that.

not once was there ever a white powder substance to clear off.

The issue with the Ice is that it doesn't last long, or protect well. It's almost like tire shine for paint.
It's Gumby's fault.

I still use Meguiar's stuff. "Step 2" car polish followed by Gold Class paste wax. It's great stuff. As a matter of fact the only non Meguiar's car care product I use is Invisable Glass. I like it better than the Meguiar's glass cleaner.

It's a good in-betweener though.

Hey Lou, How about Meguiars 2.0 Tech car wax friend ? :poke:

Dan ;)

I don't think I've tried that one. I've used Meguiar's carnuba, Gold Class, and NXT paste wax. Out of the three the Gold Class seems to make the car's paint look deeper and have a harder shine, at least that's how it looks to me ;). I always, always use paste wax. It lasts longer than the liquid wax hands down. Also, and here's the key, don't just wax the car. I always use car polish followed by a coat of wax. The polish helps the paint shine and the wax seals the polish so it doesn't get washed away.

Lou, I have used that Car wax on our Cougar since last year only because our Paint man suggested it. And backed it up with the Meguiars quick mist spray like you use friend. :D

It's great stuff isn't it? You know I actually only wash the 88 once a month. The rest of the time I just dust it with the Meguiar's quick detailer.

the 2.0 is the latest nxt. has no cleaners like gold class. i use
both. tried the ultimate detailer too. i also use captain richards
best-detailer. love it for the bike and truck.
2.0 is on the cougar.original paint not clearcoat.spent a lot of
time on the black with other meguiars polishes to get the paint back
before any wax.

the reason for the post to to share my experience with how easy it was to apply and how much of a difference it made from my past wax.  this stuff was very simple to use and really didnt require the elbow grease from my past years of experiences with wax that turns white.

It was that simple,, lay it down on a thin coat, wait about 5 min and wipe off.

watter repel we nice but I will see how long it holds up.

from my perspective, I wash the car enough to where every couple weeks or three, i can add another coat.

Different wax systems get expensive to just try but someone told me about this then i saw the commercial, wife bought it while she was out and i about shiznit myself when she told me how much she paid.  20 bux.

it goes a loooooooooooooooooooong way though.

just food for thought if you find yourself in a situation where you regret waxing because the buffing takes all the fun out.

with a car like mine, it has many up close paint issues but this stuff blened the imperfections well beyond the past turtle wax, canuba wax, mothers or the other two wax things i have.

I know there is a thread somewhere here about wax products, i couldnt find it our else i would not have started this new thread.
