Meh its ok, the resin pen does not work as well as they try to make it out. The buffer / resurfacing stuff deal works ok.

this is even after a few passes of both the pen and the buffer

There's nothing that will fix a scratch like that, except spot repairing the panel and re clearing or repainting. It may hide light scratches in clear coat, but buffing will do that too.

Actually i have been able to work in some of the paint i bought at the dealership then use the pen and the buffer to fill it in . How the resin pen works is it liquidizes some of the paint around the scratch then fills in. What they don't tell you in the commercial is that it has to sit in direct sunlight for 24-48 hours so it can set.

He also says "fixes a deep clear coat scratch" after he takes a nail to it.
If you pass the clear your looking at some work.
I use a clear coat pen, wetsand, and buff. probably about the same thing from what I can figure.

They do have a new paint coming out that will mend minor scratches in direct sunlight. It may be based on the same technology as that.
