I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Well its an 8th mile track. All the local tracks here are.

ran a 12.14 on the 1st pass
then 11.14
and the last run was a 11.10
Of course I got beat on every run by the oposing car but I was just trying to see what it would do. Possibly the slowest V8 I have ever had but hey its a daily driver. I do see an HO conversion in the future though! lol I think the MPH was around 74 or 75. Im not sure if thats right, my girlfriend was supposed to watch the time.

You know, I always wondered why Ford put such a wimpy 302 in the Thunderbirds, while the mustang counterparts and the Lincoln got the better motor. Why put a 302 like that in a Lincoln over a Thunderbird?

Good try man, I've been wanting to take my '88 3.8 to the track..but not really wanting to see the times lol.

Maybe once my back gets a little better I can get the Camaro back out to the track. Its got about 4 inches of dust on it.

I try;). Maybe this year I am going to try running my car. I'll bet that it will run over 18 seconds. Slower then a escort ZX2 and a ZXwhatever focus.

my 87 v-6 with over 200,000 would chirp a tire when I floored it. This car will barely chip on wet grass. The rear brakes overpower the motor...

I will be doing my new motor, again, and would like to see what the time difference is with a few mustang add ons. Might end up with some gt-40's and an H.O. cam though. I'm pretty sure the timing is off on the motor and I haven't done an oil change since I bought the car. Only check the oil once. I really want the motor to go.

For a 11.1 1/8, MPH would have probably been in the high 60s...

I run 82mph and am by no means stock...
