88 TC 2.3 harness Q June 01, 2009, 12:14:33 PM On the big engine harness theres a ground lug for the o2 sensor. Theres a three wire plug that also comes out of the main bundle at the same spot. Whats this plug for? Quote Selected
88 TC 2.3 harness Q Reply #1 – June 01, 2009, 04:16:12 PM The 3 wires plug is for the O2 sensor. Then that Orange wire gets grounded to the cold side of the Turbo it is more a O2 ref to ground. Quote Selected
88 TC 2.3 harness Q Reply #2 – June 01, 2009, 06:49:38 PM Its not the o2 plug, that ones round. The one Im asking about is square with the pins in a straight line. Quote Selected
88 TC 2.3 harness Q Reply #3 – June 01, 2009, 08:57:25 PM The orange wire is indeed the ground/signal return for the O2 sensor. I think the plug your probably refering to is for the baro sensor. On the 87/88 TC's there should be a barometric pressure sensor on the back of the bracket that holds the IRCM. Quote Selected
88 TC 2.3 harness Q Reply #4 – June 01, 2009, 11:26:13 PM Yup I just went and looked the 84 just a lil different but yes the Orange ground does come out of the same harness as the one for the Baro/Bap sensor. IF you hook a hose up to it you would call it a MAP sensor. On the 84 its mount right on the strut tower. Stuckman Quote Selected
88 TC 2.3 harness Q Reply #5 – June 03, 2009, 11:46:19 AM It was the BAP, didnt even notice the sensor on the IRCM. Now I have another problem, my fan wiring is missing? Kind of strange. Theres a couple 2-pin plugs down there but they dont go to the fans, probably the now-removed AC.I actually got the car to start. Hooked the vam right up to the throttle body, and have a bunch of vac lines not hooked up but it ran a bit. Broke both dizzy cap screws off in the dizzy though... caps held on with zip ties for now, doh. Quote Selected
