latest pics of nose work Reply #255 – March 09, 2011, 07:00:20 AM I have to clean up a bit, it's getting too messy in here! As you can see from the first pic, I fit the new fender. The old one isn't terrible, but this one is almost perfect. I'll pull it again to strip it and cut in the inside paint. Next will be the I/C brackets and the top cooler mounts. Quote Selected

Quote from: sarjxxx;354986geez its a wonder you haven't lost half your car in thereIt looks worse than it is. I have those shelf units against the back wall full of TR parts from when I restored them, except for 1 unit with 2.3 bits. I have 2 complete cars, a TR6 and a TR250 yet to put together. I have a lean-to in back with more Triumph parts. Two units are devoted to the Tbird and one to the TR7. I have 2 units you can't see that have all my new parts waiting to install. There is another set of sturdy wood shelves with 3 engines and 4 transmissions on it for various cars. I have a bay full of 12 boxes of parts for the Tbird I got from the original owner. The picture is taken over top of that. Usually where the sandblaster and rolling tray sits I keep my son's Daytona. I moved it to bring in the Tbird nose. Quote Selected

Will have to keep watching to see the final project! Thanks, man. I hope it gives you some entertainment. We are getting busy at work, but we did just hire a couple more pilots. (Of course part of my position is to help train them, so my benefit is still a ways off.) If I get some time I should be starting up without the turbo in a week or two, barring new 'issues'. I REALLY want to be driving it this Summer. It all depends on the work schedule. Quote Selected

Don't your pipes run through it? or are you just gonna run the open headers just to make sure its all in working order? Quote Selected

I'll just run it for a few minutes to get the initial break-in run, then bolt the turbo and exhaust on. I don't want to blow crud through the turbine wheel on the first start.. Quote Selected

1988 TC single Holset turbo 5.0/ 4R70W Reply #266 – March 11, 2011, 01:29:06 AM I've actually thought about that. LOL I may rig a flex pipe to a ler. Or I may go for the stock car sound. Either way, a video will be in order!BTW how's this for irony? I played golf today in Tucson. It was their nicest day this Winter they said. 80 degrees and just a light breeze. ( Went 2 over on the back nine with a double bogey on a 345 yd. downhill, downwind par 4 that I nearly drove on the green. Chunked the first chip and 3 putted. DOH! I did birdie the number one handicap 440 yd. par 4 from a drive and a wedge to 6 feet on the previous hole.)Then we came back to Cleveland in a snowstorm on an approach to minimums and I actually was completely out of control 4 times on the drive home. It was 25 mph at BEST the last 10 miles. The WORST conditions I've driven in in at least a decade. WHY do I live here again?:hick: Quote Selected
