guys your not understanding my problem.

xr7 project you just want me to listen to my mother so you can get your way shut it......

I GOT HER TO AGREE TO THIS ALSO YOU DONT KNOW HOW THE CAR IS.

also dont want 5lug......

tc rear ends are 1/8IN longer on each side here is 1 in full scale

________ yes i measured it.

yes i know turbo cars need special attention my brother owns one i plan on getting a turbo timer and boost gauge. its not like im going to be racing from my driveway to the end of the road.

thats my point she isnt going to take care of it it will be in a junk yard in a month. then the car is destroyed anyways. im trying to save some of its heratige.

i am going to drive it its my daily driver now. and dont say its going to blow in a week either why would they put them in a TC just to do a 1/4 mile and have to rebuild them like the TOP FUELS?

why not leave it stock because like i said a girl will be driving the TC.

i understang you guys are big fans of the TC you would die to save one but at least im not buying it to part it out like a junk yard would or other people would you guys were 17 at one time too would you drive a 2.3 now for your only car you could have for the next 2years or would you upgrade it the only thing i can do to my car is CAM and a HEADER witch will give me Hp20 i have the least amount of power in school im so tired of my brother saying ill never beat him and people kicking my car at school because the way it looks and how fast it is they dont belive it will hit 100MPH when i have personally gone faster than that on a hiway in the middle of the night i know how hard it is to understand but atleast try please.

Quoted from XR7project:
"you aren't going street racing or bracket racing in a four cyl turbo no matter if you have a turbo or not."
I respectfully disagree. There are alot of street/bracket racing 2.3T cars around.  My sons will be soon,  and my TC's on its way also.
88 TC 5speed, 168000+ miles, stock 2.3T long block, ported RFE6 exhaust, Evergreen T3 running 15#'s.
Up next: FMIC, fresh air intake, ported intakes, ported big valve head.

Why would you come on an obviously pro T-bird site with the intentions of ruining what is in itself a rare car(getting rarer thanks to people like you) and then expect help?!  That would be like us going to a Porshe site and asking around for a motor from some rare model to put in a dunebuggy. That may not be the best example but you get the point.  If you MUST defile a TC, at least do the rest of us that actually like these cars a favor and follow the links quietly, without posting your intentions.

this isnt the same thing if you want to pay for me to redo my head flash my ecu and pay for the forged pistons and rods for my engine ill happily rebuild mine and save your poor precious dieing little TC. porche to a dunebuggy is a bit drastic i would do this if it was for the Baja 1000. LOL:D

Buying a wreck/rusted to death/unsalvagable TC and parting it out is one thing.  Taking a running, driving, TC that could be used/respected by someone and parting it out isn't something I look highly upon.  It is too easy to find 2.3T motors already out of the car.
If you plan on using the TC as a TC, and not tearing it apart for a stangbird mutt, then great. More power to you.

Remember this kid is on a limited budget. He's looking for a stock TC engine not an engine like is in Huber's 10-ish second turbo 4 Mustang.

And they're buying her a car why?

I can find you a motor and computer without you ruining a perfectly good car. I don't really want mine. I don't care if people get a little angry that I am not planning to stick with the motor because its my car and I am preserving the car itself anyway. Fact is, with that sort of budget a craigslist ad would get you an engine and computer EASILY.

Honestly, I'd wait and do the V8 swap to be perfectly honest.

Get a truck, drive up here, and I'll set you up for $805.
I've got an 88 out back that was T-boned in the drivers side, complete motor, and a compete 5speed setup in the garage, and another in an additional parts car.
I missed out on a clean 88 5speed TC driver on Tuesday by about 8 hours.  Could've had it for $500 or less.
