Hey, where is Jcassity's EVTM?!

Don't know, seems to have gone away.

If the high mounted center brake light does not work, it pretty much narrows it down to the brake switch.
Does the brake pedal turn off the cruise?

The cruise isn't hooked up.  I'm not sure i have a spare swicth either.

It's more likely the wire between the brake light switch and turn signal switch. They tend to get brittle and break off right at the brake light switch connector.

As for the EVTM thread, for some reason jcassity decided to remove it, among other useful threads he had here (the DIY thread, for example)

ive been working on a redo so to speak on the evtm.  long story but I kinda had to make it not appear here for the past few weeks.  Ill post it back up soon , the sticky is gone so ill just make a new thread.

the diy,,
well it kinda sucked the way it was laid out.  Hard to follow and hard to find information was some of the feedback.  Ive got that in face lift mode as well.  working out of town a lot and time will be the only limitation on it.  the sticky is gone on that one also so ill just start a new thread.

sorry bout the evtm, but keep in mind,, the wording i used was sort of a message in a bottle for that no one outside of this forum would understand when visited.  I thought everyone  knew to just search jcassity at photobucket.  its still there guys,, gezz.

well now Dr D,, thats pretty darn neat.

the diy thread is gone and the evtm sticky is to, I wish one of the mods would have pm'd me to let me know this was going to happen.  I didnt even know the sticky was gone until the other day when I went to look for it to extract another bit of info for the diy link i was working on out of town.  I put kinko's to work on doing a scan while I was on a site survey just so I could get better quality scans done quicker.  Sometimes you just gotta pay someone to do stuff when you dont have the time.

you never know when 's gonna get locked or deleted around here anymore.

By the same token, you could have PM'd one of the mods to let them know what you were doing. The information in those threads disappeared with no explanation save a cryptic "moved to a public domain" message. No "Be back soon", not even a hint of that public domain, just a bunch of deleted information. A thread with no information is no longer stickyworthy. There was nothing in those threads except people asking what happened to the info. Since there was no info and no explanation the threads were deleted. I salvaged the only usable part of the DIY link (Haystack's P/N explanation) and started a new thread with that info. I then deleted the DIY thread. The EVTM thread had no use whatsoever anymore, nothing was salvageable in it, so it got 86'd too. The 3G alt thread would have been nuked as well, except it still had useful information in it that others had posted.

In other words, Scott, YOU deleted the threads. YOU removed the information that was the spirit of the threads. Since you left no reason for doing so the admins/mods had to come to our own conclusion (the term "panties in a bunch" came up, based on this and your deleting your own sig and avatar info). I just cleaned up after you, so please don't go trying to make it look like you're being picked on. And speaking of being picked on, Scott, no, you're not being picked on. You've had several threads locked or deleted because you've started several political threads. You're not the only one this has happened to. Carpimp just had several threads/posts deleted for the same reason.

And as for never knowing when a thread is going to be deleted or locked, your first indication should be when you remove all the info from the thread yourself. For a refresher on the rest of the reasons, click here. And if you're looking for a reason why political topics are taboo you only need look in a mirror. The hard feelings and resentment they bring with them are just not healthy. Not for the board, and not for the board member(s) that end up with hurt feelings.

For the love of Christ, Scott, get over it. Nobody is against you. You're not being picked on. You've always been an upstanding member of this board, and having a few political threads deleted does not chance that. If this board brings you so much pain the only thing I can suggest, for the sake of your mental health, is to stay away from it for a while. This is not a threat, nobody is going to ban you. It is merely a suggestion for your own sake.

a few weeks ago i took a call from a member with a couple other people in the background,,speaker phone.
converstations about this and that with teh woe's of a car with no start ect.  one guy in the group was pretty familiar with my whining about locked threads ,,sort of sarcastic but in good fun.  He then pushed the specific thread about someone in the evtm link questioning if its legal or not, then went on to mention how its not right ect.  I explained that I had modified each page per an email I got from ford a few years ago (posted it on the old board) and that its not a problem.
Further pushing the topic of the evtm, he basically said i should be careful and that quote/unquote, - you never really know "who might rat this out".

around the same time, i was bitching again about a thread getting locked and such (probably the same week) , and I began to question what this guy might be up to.  I went out on the thread and basically indicated it was "thread moved to public link".

I figured everyone knew its still resided where resides even  now.  Several pm's i have gotten have not had any trouble finding it.

to be honest, I didnt figure many people looked that diy link.  I put all the info on my work laptop and combined the 3g (final as-built) drawing that you tuned up and the diy link info and the evtm into one bucket of info.  The diy link is proving to be most difficult to purdy up due to time.

With all this pointing going on to the evtm, I figured it was good timing to just redo a few things like i kept saying was going to get to.

I could have gave one of the mods heads up, but i did not by choice.  Its basically the same situation I was in when I asked you guys why i didnt get heads up on a locked thread and was told "we dont have to give anyone heads up".  yeah, petty but it is what it is.

the panty comments could have stayed internal to the mods, but a little public humiliation goes a long way now doesnt it.  was worth it?

Ive had no trouble with anyone thats ever called me to get past a car problem or buying stuff.  Ill let those interations with board members here speak for itself.  Still , like i have told people in PM, and finally here in public, the reasons were based on the fly and at the time I was in a rush just to reduce my profile to a bare bones look with no personal info ect.  I wasnt really sure what was going to happen next and didnt want the trouble coming here hunting me down.  He (they) have my phone number , and thats hopefully all it will come down to.

The new info can be put up in a little while just like ive pm'd people.  the wiring diagrams never went anywere,, booksix just found them per his pm today.

I have learned that you dont win when you argue with a mod.  So , that being said, last word goes to whomever and that will be that.

thanks.

Ok, I am confused..... you say you had permission from Ford to post this stuff, then you remove it because someone else threatens to call Ford and report what you already claim to have permission to post?

Either you have permission to post it, or you do not.... if you do, then no issues, no need to remove them...if you don't, then you shouldn't have said you did to begin with.

As for the Mods and Admin alerting you to editing or deleting threads... they don't let anyone know when they are going to do that. It's a given that if you break the board rules, they'll remove the offending post...it's the same on any board I've ever been a member of, not just this one.

As for you not alerting them, I doubt that's the issue...I believe the issue is that you have been saying that your threads have been deleted, while it was you who did so, and you are indicating to the other members that it was the mods or admin that did it....not you yourself.

I don't feel you are being totally honest here with the members of this board...I feel you are trying to deceive them with some of your posts.... I hope you get your life straightened out soon because you were a valuable member here with your knowledge.

It's time to come clean and be honest with the board.... either you have permission from Ford to post what you did...or you do not.
You have removed many of the posts you have claimed were removed from mods and Admin...

It seems to me you are looking for sympathy from other board members and have a "they are picking on me" mentality.  This isn't the place for it.... you've been trying to ruin this board with your attitude lately, and trying to cause a separation between the members here. It's not right and it's not fair to the other members.
