gas pedal

Hi-  my gas pedal is stiff.  I made sure the cable isn't binded anywhere.  i made sure the lever on the throttle body moves free and easy.    I made sure of the obvious-  the pedal itself isn't impeded.    what else is there?  what am i missing?

it's a 5.0 standard output that currently is completely stock.  the pedal is still stiff.  i can't figure out what is making it stiff.  everything i mentioned is everything, that i know of,  that would make that happen.
