i dont need a replace ment i have to have long studs  for drag racing. i bought some moroso studs but the knurl size is .615 (TO BIG) I believe  i need .563 knurl but thought i would ask to see if anyone knows for sure. I know some mustang racers drill out the rotors to accomodate the .615 knurl. I guess i could mic a replacement at the parts house.

yeah,, just a cone grinder / milling bit and go easy so you end up having to force them in.  You might also get away with using a stepper bit and stop at 1/2'', fine tune from there.

A long time ago, someone here replaced studs and everything was fine.  One day he posted a thread that he couldnt get his lug nuts off because the stud was spinning, and you know what that means.  You pretty much cant get the wheel off unless luck is on your side.

You have to drill out the lugs or use a chisel set. It takes quite some time. I had it happen to me after a shop didn't tighten my lug nuts all the way. I spent over $100 on just drill bits before i started using the chisel set.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
