5 speed swap q's... Sorry... March 23, 2009, 10:10:51 PM Hi guys. Just had a quick question for you all. I found a 91 SC in my local yard. It has the 5 speed with the supercharged v6 of coarse. Can I use the parts to swap the auto out of my 88 bird? This is the closest I have come so far to finding something to work so please help me out guys...Thanks,Glen Quote Selected

5 speed swap q's... Sorry... Reply #2 – March 23, 2009, 10:19:38 PM I think I remember someone here selling an AOD from a SC and said it would fit a 5.0, so maybe the 5 speed would fit also, I know this dosen't really help you 'cuz it's not certain, but try a search. (if you already haven't). Anywho, here is the link to what I was sayin, hope it helps http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=21084 Quote Selected
5 speed swap q's... Sorry... Reply #3 – March 23, 2009, 10:24:06 PM Ok. Thanks guys. I just found out that it was a mazda unit. Did the whole wilkepedia thing and read the history. I'll just hold out for now. Even if it did fit, I am going for more than a couple hundred hp in the long run. Don't want to have to do it twice. lol Quote Selected

5 speed swap q's... Sorry... Reply #5 – March 23, 2009, 11:52:33 PM I would grab all the 5speed swap stuff from your yard if its cheap and sell it to the sc crowd, not many sc's came with manual. You should get enough cash to buy a complete t-5 setup that would work on your tbird Quote Selected

You could easily turn a buck. Quote Selected
