(still have stock radio)went to Cici's last night to take my lil brother out. and a guy came up and asked me if it was for sale. I told him not at the moment but he offered me $4,000 for it.how much would this be worth? Quote Selected

whats it worth? Reply #2 – March 17, 2009, 08:42:13 AM If you want to get rid of the car, you'd better take the $4000.00 for it.Offers like that don't come around very often. Quote Selected

whats it worth? Reply #4 – March 17, 2009, 02:00:42 PM Without seeing the car in person, or even pics, I think you should have been watching 87 Cougar tail lights driving away. 44K miles sounds REALLY low, so I may back pedal, but without the visuals, I'll say you should have jumped on the offer.... whats it worth? Reply #9 – March 17, 2009, 11:29:58 PM I have some updated pictures, i'll try to post them soon.the cd deck is from kenwood, my uncle got it for me and it was priced at i believe $300 has the USB hook up and everything, bluetooth, remote, custome equalizer etc.but like i said before. To the best of my knowing. the only person to own this car before me was a lil old lady who used it as practicaly her grocery getter car. The guy that offered me $4,000 was the second guy in 1 day. the first guy offered me $3,000 or $3,500 for the stereo to go along with it. Quote Selected
whats it worth? Reply #10 – March 17, 2009, 11:33:33 PM I don't know about some on here, but I wouldn't take $4000 for my Cougar. What's it worth? Whatever you and the buyer decide upon... Quote Selected

People are always asking me how much their "collector" car is worth. I tell them to put it on evilbay for a week with an opening bid of $1 and a huge reserve (or no reserve) and then they'll know what it was worth that week in time. The next week it may be twice as much or half as much, but at least you will have a true "offer". Bottom line though, is exactly what V8Demon says, it's worth whatever you and the buyer decide. Whatever you and the buyer decide upon...That may be because you have way more into than that though. Personally, I don't have a ton of money into my car, I would dump it for 4,000. These cars, even low mileage aren't worth a ton of money. Not many people recognize them as anything, not classic, certainly not antique, and not anything unusual. Don't get me wrong, I love my t-bird, but its not a car worth dumping tons of money into, yeah it may be fun to drive and I may like it, but essentially its a waste. If I ever need money, Im certainly not going to be able to sell my t-bird for a lot.I could sell my 72 442 though, and get a pretty penny for it. I don't know, personally I would take the $4,000. It may be a long time before someone offers your that kind of money for it again. I personally don't think they will ever be worth a lot. Quote Selected

It's reliable to boot.I would not hesitate to drive this car over 100 miles from home right now. Oh wait.... http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showpost.php?p=261620&postcount=6This car would make it cross country as it sits right now...as long as you stop for gas when you had to Quote Selected
