I think it we be fine, but you may need to check the flywheel.I really don't remember if yours would be a 28 or 50 oz.Probably a 28,and the kit would be a 50.Good kit though. It would also save a LOT of time hunting for parts.

sorry for my stupidity, but could I not just buy a 28oz. flywheel or would that not work?

I think it would work,but can't be for sure.I don't see why not.I've seen T-5s swapped into old Stangs with a 289 (also a 28 ox balance).

Well,it's a good time to start collecting the parts.....hint hint.

On my salvage yard runs,I'm going to start trying to find pedal assemblies, clean them up and sell them. They're getting higher all the time.

I hope they'll take your offer, but it's usually pretty hard to get someone to lower by $400.00.The shifter is a good piece, and also the King Cobra shifter. If the tranny is good,$700-$900 is probably pretty fair.My tranny was just rebuilt for $1200.00 and I bought it from a friend,so,I was lucky to know the history.I got a killer deal because he went to a 6 speed,so,he took a lot less than the tranny was worth.
