Been awhile since I've posted anything about it, but I've ordered Energy Suspension stuff for the front, and going to order CHE rears for it in the next couple of days. The motor and trans are going to come out soon, it's time to do some pretty stuff, and clean, clean, clean.

I know I just did put it in, but I gotta do things 3 or 7 times before I'm happy.
The trans needs some work, it will go into 2nd gear, but it's a PITA. Grinds real bad sometimes when it's shifted as well.

Trying to locate an SN-95 rear, although that's not the biggest thing to do right now.

Not much else has changed, but things are going to start getting busy now

make sure everything is unplugged before you start to pull the engine....  dont want to pull any wires loose on the way out.

an update, and some pics of some goodies. enjoy :D

Yes, those are LSC wheels and Mark VII rotors, have the calipers too, but I'm saving those (and the rotors) for cores when I get a Cobra master.

Interesting little story on the wheels; seems as if someone managed to get one of the locking lug nuts off, and that wheel (sans tire) was up at the office of the 'yard, I noticed it while I went out looking yesterday, and realized it was the mate to the three still on the car. So I managed to get the other lock lugs off without incident (don't buy the 12 dollar cheap-ass chisel from wal mart, it's junk for locking lugs..) and got the wheels. One has no center cap, and the others are missing the LSC emblem, but that's not a prob. The wheels are pretty nice, no scuffs or curb rash.

I also pulled the axles from the '97 Stang, it did turn out to be a 7.5. There's a '99 Stang as well, but the axles were gone already.

The console piece is from an explorer, there was one from a moonroof exploder, but it was brown and tan...ughh.

A lot of the time you can beat a socket onto the locking lug and grab a breaker bar and get it off, it's a lot easier than chiseling. My truck had them when I first bought it, with no key, thats what I did anyway. That console piece would look awesome when installed.

1968 4000, and it has quite a bit of history of it's own. Grandparents bought it very slightly used after they bought new a Ford tractor that had the auto transmission. When it shiznit the bed on 'em, they bought the 4000. They'd only had it a year or so when it was stolen, driven up the road about 3/4 mile, and then through an open gate (still on the property) across a pasture, and down over the edge of an embankment upside down into a deep ditch.

My grandfather had a tow truck yank it out, and he straightened out and replaced some metal, and except for the grille, you'd never know by looking at it. Been a nice tractor. I love it like it's my son. Seems kinda odd to have an attachment, but I guess when you're 6 years old, and your grandfather tells you that it's YOUR tractor...and leaves it to you later in life...it forms a bond.

The lugs came off using the socket method, didn't need a breaker bar, they weren't that tight. The other lug nuts...that was a different story. The piece of pipe I was using wasn't long enough. Lucked out, and found a 4 foot piece of hollow steel something-or-other that worked great though.

As for the console...it's my goal to wire it and use it as it was in the Exploder, but it's not a very immediate priority though :D

Oh, and a pic of some more goodies!

Well, a brown truck stopped by for a minute, and left me with some presents. Some of the stuff is for another project that doesn't meet the guidelines of this forum, so I'll mention it at a later time. lol.

The real goodies will just have to wait till I have time to upload the pics, but let's say that they've been eagerly antited. :D

I've also started taking apart the front-end in prep for the new bushings and whatnot. At this point it's definitely going to be 5 lug before it gets put back together..more on the ordeal later tonight after work. Let's just say I may take a different route with it, just depends on what happens saturday ;).

Anyway, patience till midnight, then yours truly will have a whole flock of pics.

I wish, lol. I've spent my budget I had set aside for the year, so I decided to go for suspension upgrades for now, as it was where the most improvement was needed.

I have a lead on some '95 spindles...I'm gonna try to acquire those for my use, and if I do, the TC spindles and Mark VII rotors and caliper will be up for sale. More on that Saturday :D

They say pics are worth a thousand words:

Yup, they be CHE's

These 2 are for you Vinnie, not at all rubbing it in, just so you can see where it was broken during shipping. No worries though, I'm gonna put the overlay on another panel. It's all good :D

And some more ES stuff

There is a Mark VII at the yard by me. I wish I had the money to grab the rear out of it.

Looks like things are coming along nicely.

I've thought about that as a quick 'n dirty 5 lug rear, but the overall width bugs me.

Guess I could always roll my fenders and get custom offset wheels...
