demolition man... the movie...

I watched this movie last night and I clearly remember being a kid and watching this movie and thinking this is not even possible, our future will never be like this...

after seeing it last night.... I started thinking.... man what a screwed up world that would be.... and the worst part.... I think that it could be possible for that shiznit to happen...

example #1 of what I mean...:we are so obsessed about cleanliness and germs... the part in the movie where the government completely phases out any and all bio fluid contacts with other people... no kissing, no shag... all virtual reality... I could see that truly happening in the future... and that truly scares me....

anyone have similar revelations in the coming times....

discuss.

Absolutely brilliant movie.  Freakily accurate.

My 'fave' lines -

"Wasn't he an actor?"

and

"This fascist  makes me want to puke."

They can't even phase out Booze or Cigarettes. They'll never phase out shag as long as humans have reproductive systems. The desire to shag is stronger than any government.
