its a used car dealer. if they put more than one dollar in it they effe'd up. its getting harder and harder to find tbirds worth hanging on to around here. not to mention half the users on this site are driving worse off cars.

Looks alright but i'd push the guy down a flight of stairs and tell him to lower the price or else.

I haven't met a car dealer yet that wouldn't lower the price of a car.

X2, When I got my '94 bird, the dealer wanted 2500, but after reminding him that the tires were bald and the suspension needed a little work, got it for 1950 :shakeass:

a 5 year 100k mile warranty would be sweet for 2k. I feel i wouldn't try to haggle with him too much about it. Just me. Thats buying a used car, with a new car warranty. Anything ever happens, you bring it back... which it would. lol

These cars are rapidly moving into the "Beggars can't be choosers" realm. They are finally starting to appreciate in value. In other words, they're getting to the point that if you want one you'll pay what the seller wants or you'll go without. If the body of that car is solid it's well worth $2k in MA. It's not like you can find dozens of 'em in the classifieds every week, especially in rust-pr0ne areas. Anybody who has actually looked for one can verify how hard they are to find now. It took me five years to find my car six years ago, and I settled - I really wanted a four-eye 'Bird or 87-88 Cat, but jumped on this car because it was mint with only 47k miles.
