Nearing completion

Front end primed, painted, sanded, and compounded

I pulled that refracting  out of my tail lights, they look cooler, but god , two of my bulbs are retarded...only work when they want to work. The one side needs new bulbs, they look orangish. I also repainted the black strip and cleared them up a bit.

Dash board done, doors need to be put back on. I need to buy fabric dye so I can dye the carpeting on the doors black.

The ash tray...funny story. I'm pushing my car into the garage, I'm pushing and pushing, it stops, i push harder and feel the car lift up a bit....I put it in park and i look...i had the tray on a box and the car hit the box, knocked it over and the tray fell in the path of the tire and got crushed. I'm just gonna cut the from plate off and glue it to the console.

I want to do the same thing with my ashtray cover, but it sits way too far from anything to glue it to. Id be interested in seeing how you did yours when it is finished!

In my car I put the stereo in the ash tray hole and hinged the door on the front. When the faceplate is off the door closes and it all looks stock ;)

I dig the silver.... a LOT nicer than the wood grain.... Gotta find some pieces I can do that to.  I would like to do it on a second set just in case I mess it up.  I can put things back together and upgrade em and what not.  I suck at painting though....

Here's another piece you can paint.

This is a horrible pic.. can't even tell that it's pewter-colored. But I think I am going to do that to my dash as well. (although I'm probably going to try to leave the black outer edges)

You should be able to put in one of the flat panel cigerette lighter panels in where the ashtray was.  It would still serve your 12v accessory needs.
