If you'd rather have the GT40P's than a T-5 it's worth it :D

Joking apart, I think GT40P heads are commanding a pretty good price. Just remember that you need GT40P-specific headers...

The GT-40P cylindetr head has the spark plugs set in it at a different angle than most other windsor heads and with standard type exhaust manifolds/headers you would not able to remove/replace your plugs.  You need GT-40P specific stuff.  If you can find a set of standard GT40's those would work with the headers you currently have.

I've heard some people have had success using straight plug wires, but I can't be certain. The only thing to do is thread some plugs in, mock your header up, and see if you can get plug wires on. The heads wouldn't even have to be in the car to do it...

This is the one plug, #& that is close on the "p" heads. I have BBK shorties, but my son has Heddman longtubes on his, you have to use 90 degree boots to keep them off the headers. :D
