thanks for the kind words and the B-day greet aswell.

umm for right now its my A to B car.
lol though some people may shun this and this may seem like a stereo type joke but. lol being the lil half asian I am.
I've always been geard towards imports.  but for now I'm gonna hold onto the cougar.
I would like to get true duals on it but im just doing little things right now.  such as the ler that is being discussed in the engine forum.  and tomorrow i'll be getting some tint put on and hopefully when my dad gets back form overseas I may get some aftermarket wheels put on.

im more into imports but LOVE cars in general. no matter the make or origin i just love going to car shows and cars in general.  its a fun little car and a great little project to start with.

but i'd have to say my Dream car would have to be a 1st gen. 1969-1974  Datsun 240z.    (lol alot of people shun it and say) "A datsun? why? its a rust bucket."  but the way it looks has always caught my eye ^.^

ya i've noticed that.  I liked alot of the small stuff people have done.  the smoked/black tail lights look really nice  along with the aftermarket tail lights themselves.

though im not exactly sure how good black tail lights would look on my car. (2 tone brown? lol looks purple in the morning)
IMO i think the black tail lights and head lights look exceptionaly well on cars that are black, red or orange.

wouldnt mind getting my car painted black though.  or dark grey.

Looks nice from what I can tell in the pics. These cars will make you forget all about imports, especially after you find out how many Mustang parts fit. I'd start out with swapping the hubcaps for some nice wheels. That'll really change the way the car looks.

lol im sure some people like the stock wheel covers. but the ones on mine to me are just.... ya... somethin about the basket type i dont really go for.  wouldnt mind getting some 5 spoke aftermarket wheels on here though.  possibly a dark color. maybe black, smoked, or gun metal.

Nice Cougar you have there.  Once you get some nice exhaust and an HO conversion done on that 5.0, you won't wanna go to a 4banger or V6 :) .

Yeah, there are some decent options for those types of wheels.  My car has gunmetal/anthracite Cobra Rs, which are a good bet for someone on 4 lug.  But if you go 5 lug, some Mustang Bullitt wheels would be awesome on it :) .

I'm biased, of course, but I say keep the Cougar and fall in love with it (and you will fall in love with it - the fact you're asking questions on this forum shows you've got at least some affection for it already). It'll make you stand out among your peers. Honda Civics are like bellybuttons - everyone's got one, and they've no use once you've left the womb.

I think the "ricer" fad (no disrespect meant to your Asian background) train has left the station anyway. As with most fads, what was popular with young guys two years ago looks ridiculous now (and as with most fads, what was once popular with young guys always looked ridiculous to us older guys).

Some very subtle modifications go a long way toward improving the looks of these cars. First on your list should be wheels - they literally make the car in this case. Even stock 15" alloys (either 10-hole or turbine) make these things look like whole different cars.

Good choice on the "dream car", too. I love the early Z's. Hell, I love all the Z's, from the 240 through the 370 (yes, including the bloated 280's and 300's). I almost bought a 260 as my second car (my first was a '78 Trans Am) but the one I was looking at was beat, so I settled on another second-gen Firebird.
2015 Mustang GT Premium - 5.0, 6-speed, Guard Green - too much awesome for one car
