its basically an escort and a bird thrown together. I wanted to get one of these but couldn't justify the $300.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

My brother had 2 for winter cars.  They're surprisingly fun, especially as shopping cart hunters.  Not the fastest thing I've ever strapped myself to, though.  There is a pretty big following somewhere on the net, though.

Q: How far does it go on a charge now? What is the range with new batteries?
A:
THE CAR CURRENTLY GOES ABOUT 20 MILES ON A CHARGE THE RANGE WITH NEW BATTERIES WOULD BE ABOUT 65 MILES

I'd pass on this one, but I'd love to find a turbo EXP...now those are kinda neat ;)

I bet it would be a maintenance nightmare...plus there have to be some parts on that baby that are pricey.
