at first no... but for the heck of it I set them in place and I must agree they look really good. I think I will repaint them black. and instead of red pin stripes I think I will do those black to.

screw those guys. If you get your car running even pretend okay with the setup it sounds like you have, alot of us would like to know about it. To shut everyone up, you should throw up specs on all the things you swapped in, or did to it.

I dont get why anyone would flame him. He's done more to his car already then most of us have done in years.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I dont have alot to report.... by series of unfortunate events I was forced to slap the car together and start driving it. so far it has proven to be very reliable. I have had to make some changes to the suspension. and paint has not been completed. body is done the bumpers have not been touched. if anyone does the brake conversion the fitting you need for the 93gt brakes is a 3/16 to 1/4 inverted fitting. using this fitting allows you to get the stainless steel front hoses for the 93 gt brakes. this fitting can also be used for the cobra brakes and or the stock gt rubber hoses. I must say this cam is better suited to be used with a t5 instead of a c4... acceleration is kind of out of place... when I get the gears in im sure it will help... I might up the converter to a 3200 stall instead of the 2800 that is in there now... or I might just swap it to a t5...

for now all other plans have been stopped... I need this car to get me back and forth to work... and sense it does not appear that, that will be changing im not going to install the quiktime turbo kit that I picked up and the 347 is going to stay at the shop... that is all for now... here is the latest picture...

Budderigs  wow! my kind of thing ,you got going there.  i never found a car yet that i  didn't want to  modify.
if you want to make it a fun car. drop the C-4 AND put in a T-5. i did that to my 1986 stang and the 1980 fairmont wadon. it was the best thing i ever did to those cars. i believe a stick car is alwise more reliable than any slush-o- automatic .

keep going with your plan on the car ,look great:burnout: .
as for those goof-balls that where giving you a hard time.  they remind me of my first  wife. they think they can tell people to do it there way and people will. but when they don't, they act like a 10year old that can't have there way.

keep us posted .look farward to seeing the ride photos.
remember it easier to fix them, than to find them after they been crushed.

thanks words like this keep me going on a project like this... I totally agree about the auto stick thing I wanted to do a t5 right off the bat... but I changed my mind at the last moment because I didnt want to cut into my perfect floor... but I really dont like the way this trans shifts... I thought I could work it out... but right now I think a stick would just be more fun...

I'm sure you know all posts, threads, forums are all opinions.  Separating fact from fiction is up to all of us.  That said, my opinion is the T5 will do well behind your engine.  Typically they are good up to 300 ft lbs.

Does your C4 have a shift kit. With a 2800 stall and a shift kit I would think it would do well for the time being. As for the T5 I think its a great idea. I would love to put a T5 in my 88.

yes it does have a shift kit... and it really doesnt shift that bad... its kinda hard to explain, but just normal driving I dont care for when it shifts.... it shifts out of first and into second to early and then when it should be running in second it trys to shift into third... then it down shifts back an forth... I dont like it at all... I just put my hand on the shifter and hold it in gear for right now. now as for driving in a straight line when your on the throttle it shifts fine. but when your trying to drive normal it shifts early.... the spread is not very good either... I me really 55 in first gear at 5500 rpms... I need gears bad...

The worst part about this whole thread is the fact you have to drive it in the winter. That Cougar should be hibernating!
