Gel Battery??

Is it true that you can mount a Gel battery in "any" position without any Ill effects?  I want to mount mine laying down on the shelf in my trunk so it's out of the way and I can still get to the posts easily if I need to.  This should be ok right?  Thanks, Jason.

Thanks.  I thought so but I don't trust advertisp00gets all that much.  I didn't know if it would shorten battery life or something like that.  I figure the battery manufacturers may not mention such things.  Jason.

Had you planned on putting some remote battery terminals in the engine compartment?
