Steel coolant line...

Well, I can't think of a better name for it. The best way to describe it, it's the steel tube that routs coolant to the turbo. This isn't a pic of my setup, I just copied it off of the web, but the arrow points to where it screws into the turbo...keep in mind the housing is fine...just the tube appears to be rotting away.

I'm about to flush my cooling system and install a new water pump, theromstat and hoses when the tube starts leaking. I'm pretty sure it's corroded beyond saving and I haven't really had the time to see if it's available new...so my question is--IS this available from Ford? Any chain auto parts stores? Or am I better getting tubing and bending it myself? What size is it? 1/4" tubing? or larger?

Thanks guys.

Thanks for the info...I figured as much...I believe I know what I'll be doing on Saturday...Hey, what do you think about a -6AN braided steel teflon hose? Think it can handle the heat at the turbo? :flame:

Hmmm...after taking a look at my car, the braided line is probably a bad idea unless I do a little re-routing...but for now I think I'll just leave that idea alone...
