Ya know, it donned on me that the early 70's late 60's Chev trucks had a green similar to that.  Hope that ain't what it is, lol.

No,it's not.

you need the side moulding... it looks unfinished in the middle

I've thought about it,but I kind of like the natural body line, and, unless the middle trim is in excellent shape,no deal. Most of the side trim I've seen either has cracked chrome strips,or is curled on the corners towards the back of the door.If I could find NOS stuff.maybe.I like the way it looks though.I was afraid that the center trim would be a huge distraction.

You can't see them, but it has light charcoal gray pin stripes. They'll probably give way to slightly darker stripes later.I like the subtle look of them though.Much easier to see in person than in pics.

I struggled with the same thing Vinnie.  I ended up putting the side trim back on and I'm glad I did.  It does kind of suck to have all new paint and then side trim with py looking chrome strips, but I like the look a lot better.  Especially with black trim.

Not saying yours looks bad, just personal preference.

If I can ever find really really nice side trim,I'm not opposed to installing it.

Although the car looks awesome,I have to agree,it needs the side molding.

when I had my car repainted,I removed the metal strip that is on the backside of the molding, this is what causes the curling.I then had all the molding repainted(makes it look brand new).

car does look great !!!
