No Stang driving for me,but, thanks for the idea.I'm just going to sit around and wait, and finish getting the trim pieces ready.

As far as the color goes,it's close to the Stang pic above. The color is called "Effect Green".It's a Dupont color.Primer/sealer,paint,then clear coat.He said to be there next Saturday morning for pick-up.I have the new headlights ready, and I'm really too tired to do anything else right now.I was nearly two o'clock this morning before I went to bed, then up at 6:00 this morning.Time for a shower,a glass of sweet tea,and then a little chill time.

Believe me,I get that feeling everyday with it.Not anymore, though.I still have to restore the window trim for the front and rear, and install a few pieces and the dynomat. No worries, though,it'll get done eventually.

You do have your ride ready for the paint shop.  I'm really looking forward to seeing that thing when it's done and what this "Effect Green" looks like.  You've got to be beside yourself, waiting to see what it will look like when it's done.

I'll be the first to admit,I'm really anxious, and a little uncomfortable.I never liked leaving my car with a shop, especially over night, much less a week.I have always been bothered about a stranger driving it as well.I know that sounds foolish, but I take the car really personal. The Sport and IO have bonded pretty tight.Anyway....I am getting excited and I really can't explain the color. It's like Estate Green, but a shade lighter.Gayle picked it out.Once I pick it up,I'll take pics,as well as pics after everything is installed (emblems, lights, etc).I'll get the fog lights and harness installed as well.Lot's to do.

Vinnie I am with you 100% on holding it tight and not letting anyone take it out. It's yours, you make the decision. I've never had any of my friends ask me to borrow my car...my one friend has let two different people borrow his beretta DD and both times there were problems. Who knows if they were the fault of the drivers but knowing them they DID definitely beat the  out of the poor thing.

I see that and become less and less of a nice person each time. I'm not trying to be a jerk...but I would never even want to drive someone else's car. I abuse my own stuff sometimes. When I'm using or handling something that doesn't belong to me I treat it like it's made of glass. But I'd still be afraid of a freak accident under my watch. I can't believe others don't treat things that aren't theirs the same way. But they don't. Oh well. I've talked to fellow old car hobbyists that have seen spectators let their kids CLIMB on valuable rare antique cars at shows. It's sad but true.

You put the time money and effort into it, it would be a  shame if anything happened that could have easily been prevented. No excuse for carelessness. Give 'em a hellride though so they know what they're missin.   :rollin:

Oh and...

I have no idea what the status is on the Sport, and I'm not calling them.I almost did today and decided to wait.I get nervous and anxious.I probably have some sort of OCD with the Sport.I don't know if I'll post pics of the car when I get it home,or wait til I get it assembled.I'll probably post pics as each little bit of progress occurs.Black trim and new chrome for the bumper covers, side trim, lights, emblems, door trim, etc.

cant you go and check on the progress in person?  I'd atleast go check on it about mid week and make sure that they are getting something done with it.
