Well, it wasn't my first time being misread in this thread, and explaining the same thing was getting irritating. No worries, though. I do admit I screwed up on the number of cams in a Mustang GT. I honestly thought all 4.6's were Dual after '05. It's easy to see I'm not a Mustang guy. :D

Okay, yeah I gotcha. Its okay I thought I was out of my mind here when I was reading the Mustang had a DOHC. I worked at a Ford dealership for a long while and was confused by that. I didn't know if you had known the Genesis Coupe didn't get the Tau V8 so I threw that out there. I apologize for the mix up.

No problem, man. Though they should have thrown the Tau in there anyway. Maybe there'll be a V8 version in a few years. I wouldn't put that out of the realm of possibility.

That WOULD be cool for Hyundai. If only it looked a bit more masculine.

I wonder why didn't they just put that Tau V8 in there in the first place and be done with it?  Cost?

I believe it was a packaging issue....Couldn't get it to fit.  Much like with the 5.0 in the MN-12's in '89-90.

Ahhh I see.  That would be a  fast car...isn't their V8 rockin' like 370 hp or something?  Ahh well its still a freakin' ugly Hyundai.

Looks like the Tau 4.6 V8 has 375 HP and 333lb.-ft. of torque. Would really make it interesting for a car that'd make you look a bit limp wristed.

I'm sure someone will find a way to get one in there soon enough. Tuners or tuner shop.
