i like it. i like this ones interior more and im getting used to the look. some of the spy shots had me worried but these look okay. would have been nice if they did something with the engine for 10'

The engine for the '10 is the the same as the bullitt...315 horsepower I believe.

It's a shame that the 370 Z is faster....

They keep this up and in a few more years it will look like a cross between a probe and a crx.  Colegen(sp) injections perhaps?

That's funny because I can't seem to find hard #'s....Only estimates and figures for pre-production cars.  FWIW the 350 was at a disadvantage.  Equal weight and less torque.

The guesstimates are equal to 05-09 #'s....

There's a comparison between the 370Z, Mustang, and Hyundai Genesis Coupe in the May Motor Trend. The Z is fastest, but the Mustang wins the comparison. The funny thing is that it wasn't a direct comparo - Ford made MT promise not to do a back-to-back comparison with the Genesis. They were actually afraid of it. Absolutely shameful. The Mustang beat the Genesis in nearly every category - what's shameful is Ford's lack of faith in its own product.

I'm not surprised.  Proof positive how advertising dollars can skew test results on matters of opinion....When the S-197 platform first came out the mags praised it.  18months later the cheap shots at the suspension came aplenty -- the same suspension they praised for working so well in spite of the dated architecture.

FWIW Motor Trend and C&D have problems getting decent times out of ANY car with a decent amount of torque below 4000 RPM without AWD/4WD.  Always with the wheelspin off the line is the excuse.

Given that Mulally told the universe that Ford's products are essentially world class, you'd think his employees in public relations would buy into what he's selling. If they did, they'd have gladly given us that pipeline's first potent product, the 2010 Mustang GT, for a head-to-head test with Hyundai's Genesis Coupe. But they didn't. "If the Mustang wins," said a Ford PR flack at one point during the tortuous back-and-forth negotiations, "it's still the king. If the Genesis wins, we've only made a hero out of a Korean upstart."

In order to get our hands on a Mustang GT in time to meet the deadline for the April issue of Motor Trend, we had to agree not to do a back-to-back comparison with Korea's new colt. Normally, we would've told Ford to take a hike up the Himalayas. But, in the interest of getting the first test numbers on the new Mustang, we acquiesced. For Ford, it's a shame we did.

Speaking of the PR Dept. They still haven't given me the go/no-go on the brand use license. I suppose they do have more important things on their minds right now. ;)

Hey maybe they knew that the pathetic Genesis wasn't a worthy competitor.  They mention Ford would have a car ready to compare with the forthcoming Camaro...which is definatley stouter competition than a wanna-be Korean tin can.

I am not impressed with then Genericsis at all...typical Hyundai.  No personality.
