Are you sure they are gonna build it? Ford not doing so hot right now. Yesterday they sold off 2/3 of there stake in Mazda. I love to hate the new stang but will they really build it?

I like it better than the current one. It looks like it has heritage cues without being a full on retro design. Almost refined. The colour coded light up sill plates are a bit ricey, though.

Are they sequential, Eric? It's against federal motor vehile standards to install sequential lights from the factory (but perfectly legal to install them once the car has been shipped - as you can imagine, I've done some research on the legality of sequential lights). I'm kinda hoping they are sequential - it'll be an advertising boon for me - I'll be able to say "Make your lights sequence like the new ones" instead of "make your lights sequence like the 40-year-old ones that most of you have never seen"...

The only thing I kind of like is that Brick Red and black interior.  Not for the fact that I like the car, but that the combo would have looked good in the '80 XR-7....

WAH!  I miss that car :(

Yeah, it's confirmed for the sequentials...from the PDF file on the Ford site:

EXTERIOR STYLING
The new power dome hood, bumpers, fenders, quarter panels, doors, rear end, grilles, fascias and wheels make the all-new 2010 Mustang design look fast … even when it’s standing still.
Other key design features include:
• All-new wheel designs
• LED sequential taillamps
• Body-color exterior mirrors
• Fog lamps

Also a great write-up about the styling here:
http://jalopnik.com/5091681/2010-ford-mustang-design-dissected

And everyone seems to be overlooking the V6 cars...this seems MUCH better and cleaner:

Look at how the absence of fog lamps in the grille area makes the V6 cars look wider and leaner. I've said that about the '05 cars also, but the new '10 version really emphasizes that point.

I like the front end I guess but the more I look at it the more it looks like a Mustang II.  Also I hate how the rearend slopes forward the further you get out towards the tail lights.

I don't know I guess I'll have to wait and see one in person before I judge.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.  Not that G37's are bad looking cars (I actually kinda like them)  I just don't like that look on the 'Stang.

One thing I'll say is that the interior of the '10 looks GREAT.

I watched the unveilling on the Speed Channel last night. I like the new ones, but I like the 05-09 a lot better yet. That may change when I see them in person. I do like the '10 interior better. Overall, they're still looking good!!

The trunk lid looks horribly foreshortened compared to an '05-09
