Re: Boys and Girls, use motorcraft wires... Reply #2 – March 21, 2005, 10:21:39 PM Yes... I'm thinking my "Xact" brand wires are failing me, too. Even though they're new, the car sort of falls on it's face at 4200 RPM. Good thing there's already motorcraft plugs in 'er. Time to go to rockauto and order some. Quote Selected

Re: Boys and Girls, use motorcraft wires... Reply #9 – March 21, 2005, 11:29:11 PM Motorcraft wires must be good. The ones in my T-Bird are 17 years old and it still runs like a new car. I'm thinking of replacing 'em with FRPP 9MM red wires this spring, though - had good luck with those wires on my Cougar and 87 Sport Quote Selected
Re: Boys and Girls, use motorcraft wires... Reply #10 – March 22, 2005, 12:01:35 AM TCCOA preaches that fact too. Only use motorcraft wires on the Turbo Coupe. When I had the 87 TC, I put on a used set of accel wires. They worked well for the 1 week that I drove the car. Quote Selected
Re: Boys and Girls, use motorcraft wires... Reply #11 – March 22, 2005, 07:12:46 AM Um, I have Taylor wires in mine, they've been through a fire and the car doesn't miss a beat... just don't use and you're fine. Quote Selected
Re: Boys and Girls, use motorcraft wires... Reply #12 – March 22, 2005, 07:23:51 AM FRPP 9MM blue here. For plugs I use (Dare I say it?) Bosch Platinums. They seem to last longer for me. Don't know why..... Quote Selected
Re: Boys and Girls, use motorcraft wires... Reply #13 – March 22, 2005, 07:43:51 AM I use the motorcraft plugs with the Ford Racing 9mm wires. The wires are red to match the MSD cap and coil. Have not had a problem yet. Might upgrade to Platnuim plugs later on. Quote Selected
Re: Boys and Girls, use motorcraft wires... Reply #14 – March 22, 2005, 08:10:34 AM Moroso wires and autolite plugs. Maybe it has to do with each individual engine, but I don't care for the platinums myself. Quote Selected
