245/50/16 Tires

Has anybody ever exspiremented with 245/50/16 on there T-Bird or Cougar. On my '86 I noticed that the tires are rubbing the front sway bar when you go lock to lock. Just want to know if its normal or not, I'm banking its not.

Haven't had them on long enough to notice.  I have noticed some noises in the front, but figured that it was the struts, creaking from sitting in my garage for two years.

Got them on my car. I had to put a 1/4in spacer in to keep them from rubbing the struts. I fixed that and now they rub the inner fender when I turn or hit a hard bump.

Which you can see it also sits low from these pics.

I had some on my old 83 5.0 'Bird...no issues and only occasional rubbing of the driver side tire on the fender lip.  On 16x7" wheels.

You think it may have something to do with the tires themselves, I have spoogeho 712's and people say that thoush tires are a little taller and wider than other 245/50's, or is that all BS.

I run 245/50/16's on my TC all the time. The only issue I run into is a very slight rub when making a slow, hard right hand turn. like going into a parking space. Car is stock height, and the tires are spoogeho's. Pictures of the fron and rear in these links:
