hood question

i'm putting a turbo hood on my lx bird and im wondering before i put it on if i need to do any mods to make it fit?

If it's a 5.0L then yes.
You have to remove the front black a/c bracket and grind/cut it down to where it just goes around the top bolt.
If you don't it will hit the drs side scoop and push it out of the hood when you accelerate due to eng movement.
You must also drill out the rivets for the for the duct work undernieth the hood. and remove it.
Last but not least you must trim down the front hoodscoop mounting bolts as they will hit the fan shroud.

What they both said let me add this if you have to grind down the A/C braket paint it so it does not Rust since the hood scoops will let the rain and snow in.

Or block off the scoops ;)

Blockoff plates.....

Right.I made block off plates for mine that keep most everything out,and aren't really even noticeable.I'm cool like that.LOL.

The scoops on my Sport were open and I was tired of cleaning the engine and having a LOT of water go under the hood when it rained,so.........scoop block off plates.

I'm making some that are perferated, holes are 1/16". Got the material in the s ben. Although I like seeing the intake through the vents. Can we see a shot of what they look like with the hood down?
