Help??? does anyone know how to refinish trim October 05, 2008, 04:27:56 PM Hey guys does anyone have any ideas on stripping off the factory anodizing on the out side trim. I was going to paint it all silver but I don't want to have another thing to chip during reassembly, I was told oven cleaner would remove the anodizing but it did not work for me. What can I do to make it look good again? P.S. buffing did not work either. Quote Selected
Help??? does anyone know how to refinish trim Reply #1 – October 05, 2008, 07:32:00 PM I guess you are talking about that trim around the windows. I tell you stuff called PEELER. Its a paint removal product made by kleen strip! spray it on and let it soak in the use air to blow it off or a pressure washer! Quote Selected

Nature and a finger nail took mine all off. But I have used that Peeler on many things. I like it better than there Aircraft stripper. Seems to do the same job but with less smell and it claims not to hurt the primer below so don't think it could hurt the trim, I've even used it on plastic and it works awesome. Quote Selected
