pressure and return lines for transmission cooler

Does anyone know which line(top or bottom) on radiator is for return and which one is the pressure line for the transmission cooling lines?
I am installing an external transmission cooler and want to run it through the transmission.
Thanks

i kinda need to know the same thing as i'm doing that too. but if i had to put money on it i would say top-pressure, bottom-return. but when there's a 50-50 chance... 90% of the time you get it wrong. i hate that saying. always gets meh.

I'd personally be surprised to know that it made a difference as to which way you set it up. I'd think with an aftermarket transcooler it would work both ways. As long as the fluid flows from one side to the other i'd think it would work regardless. Then again it could be setup similar to the way the radiator works. :dunno:

I remember when a fitting on the top of my tranny cooler cracked it sprayed fluid all over everything under the hood, so there was definately pressure there. Which line is which i'm not sure.

Stab in the dar guess... I think the top is the pressure one.  As nirvanagod says... it doesn't matter.  Aftermarket coolers are usually universal.

yeah I wonder if it'd make any difference as well. how much pressure is it under anyways?

I'm not sure which line at the radiator is pressure/return, but I found a picture of the return line at the transmission from mn12performance.com.
