Who says Trucks can't autocross? August 15, 2008, 09:29:00 PM I fried the clutch in the bird, so I figured what the hell. I had a weekend wait for the new clutch to come, so I got off my ass and got the truck running again after 9 months:mad: I probably drove it all of 5 miles over 3 days before taking it to the auto x. I actually came in 3rd out of 4 in EM. 4th was a triumph spitfire on a corvette chassis and engine:flame: Quote Selected

Who says Trucks can't autocross? Reply #4 – August 15, 2008, 09:43:24 PM 1meanZ on toledo tuners. His names Jeremy and he wouldve been running his 383 camaro except he had broken his TKO600 on friday.I will definately agree it was crazy, cause I kept smashing my knee on the window crank, and steering freezing up and coming back, and pretty much drifting the course. I wonder if jeremy had a headache after riding with me because he kept whacking his helmet on launch, and the 1-2 shift on my back window, ROFL Quote Selected
Who says Trucks can't autocross? Reply #5 – August 15, 2008, 10:00:55 PM heres a cropped pic to show the tires better. The front tires had 55lbs of air in them, but the truck weighs in around 5200#s:burnout: Quote Selected

Who says Trucks can't autocross? Reply #8 – August 16, 2008, 12:37:32 AM mainly cause the thing was drift happy, and I was fighting the wheel the ENTIRE time. 500 whp on street tires, going around a corner doesnt work real well:beatyoass: Quote Selected
Who says Trucks can't autocross? Reply #9 – August 16, 2008, 02:24:22 PM That is a nice looking '78. Those are the best looking trucks Ford ever made! My Dad has a '78 F-250 Ranger XLT 4x4 w/400m and C6 that was our farm truck...its dead now but I have a lot of fond memories in that thing. Quote Selected
Who says Trucks can't autocross? Reply #10 – August 16, 2008, 05:09:04 PM a few more pics that got posted. Still none of you bhazard:rollin: The white truck is my dad, and the bmw is JRCook320 on Toledotuners.com Quote from: "JRCook320"You didn't really take any pics of anything other than me, Ray, and the angry trucks. Every time the trucks went through I got a chub. It was really awkward for the other dudes on my corner. lol Here's a few more.and another quote, lol. This guy rode along on 3 of my runsQuote from: "1meanZ"This truck is just so F'n awesome I dont know what to do with myself.  I kinda wish I would have been able to get some different pictures of it, but the course was so short and the camera I was using is slow, I could't hardly get any more pics. Plus I wanted to get some maximum body roll pics to see how much the tire was folding under.Much to my suprise, this truck is hooked up. Once he got his shocks and air bags dialed in, it was alarmingly quick witted. If this truck had wide rims and race rubber, it would be an absolute shocker. My final observation about this truck, you must wear a helmet during any high performance manuvers. I smacked my head on the back window on 2 runs during the 1-2 upshift.  Quote Selected
