That's different... I wasn't even aware RHD T-Birds existed. If it's an aftermarket conversion it's a ed good one...

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Look how long those A/C lines are, and the heater box is on the driver's side. The master cylinder is on the passenger side so they would've had to run all new brake line too. It looks like they installed the floor shifter to deal with the shift linkage problems of keeping it on the column. And then there's the dash wiring issues. That definitely would've taken a lot of work and $$$$ to convert.

That has to be aftermarket. AFAIK NO T-birds were exported outside of the US, Canada, or Mexico.

......and some wear and tear where the gas pedal USED to be.

Draw your attention to the dash.....It appears to be pieced.  There is a vertical line along the wood grain next to the vent to the left of the tripminder/clock.

Does anyone know what Aussie VINs look like?  That looks to me like a US ID.  Too bad it doesn't have an Aussie motor as well.

It actually doesn't say it was built that way. The title of the auction says..."FORD THUNDERBIRD 1983 IN AUSTRAILA FROM 1989", it appears as if it has only been in Australia since '89. Maybe someone imported it, and changed it. :D
